TAMPA, FL., July 27, 2001 - In response to overwhelming retailer and fan demand, CrossGen Comics is releasing the Sojourn Collected Edition, a 64-page issue that reprints the Sojourn Prequel and the sold out Sojourn #1 for only $3.95.

"Interest in Sojourn has been astronomical," explained James Breitbeil, Director of Marketing and Distribution for CrossGen Comics. "Because issue #1 has completely sold out and the Prequel is very near selling out, we wanted to be sure we could meet the demand. This Collected Edition was the best way. Sojourn has become an incredible entry vehicle to our line for new readers, so we had to be sure we had something in the comic stores they could pick up."

The Sojourn Collected Edition will contain all the features found in Prequel and issue #1, including covers, story pages, and sketchbook pages. There will be no new material added. The front cover will feature art from the interior of issue #1 of Sojourn's heroine Arwyn and the back cover will feature the story's villain, Mordath, also from issue #1.

"When we planned for this Collected Edition we were very conscious to avoid producing something that would be seen as a variant or a collectible issue," said Ian M. Feller, CrossGen's Director of Corporate Communications. "It has been our policy to not produce gimmick books and we will stand true to that. There was an opportunity for us to add new sketchbook pages, a new cover, and other goodies to entice people to pick this up, but specifically decided not to cheat our loyal fans by adding new material and making a collectible. We want to entice new readers to try what is becoming our most talked-about series."

Retailers can expect to find the Sojourn Collected Edition available to order in the August 1 issue of Diamond Dateline. It will ship to stores
August 10.
