A fantastic character based piece in which a day in the life is not just a device, but a well used time frame in which we learn so very much about a group of people that work together -- and survive together.  This slice of their life is interesting, and filled with such true to life drama and events that one can not help coming out of the theater with thoughts of their own life, and some new level of appreciation.

I'm always quick to find flaws in the writing, impossibilities and coincidences that drive you nuts -- yet this movie does not have anything that goes too far across the boundary of "suspension of disbelief" everything works in this place, and it is very nice to see the day come full circle.  When all is said and done people do get what's coming to them.  Whether it is money falling in their lap or at least seeming to come like  a gift from heaven, or a shopkeeper giving a little kindness and emotional support to a fellow shopkeeper, and reminding him why every now and then it is good business to give out something for "nothing", because that nothing really means no cash, but it doesn't mean nothing!

This is a movie that looks at life -- and learns from life -- and helps you find comfort and peace in life!  On top of all that it is a movie I highly recommend.
