Martial arts star Russell Wong stars in this unique drama as an ex-cop who sacrificed everything and must now rebuild his own life as a teacher and mentor to a diverse group of teenagers.

Framed and wrongly incarcerated in Hong Kong, undercover narcotics cop Tom Chang (Wong) was stripped of his career, his wife and the right to see his daughter. Intent on restoring his life and relationship with his now pre-teen daughter (guest star Valerie Tian), Tom returns to San Francisco to take over a martial arts school from his mentor (Mako), and meets a group of students who desperately need his guidance. Tom finds his hands full as Tory (Missy Peregrym) plots to find her father's killer, Trip (Corey Sevier) tries to defend himself against his abusive father (guest star Richard Tyson) and Allie (Sarah Carter) tries to make a move on an oblivious Bryan (Ray J).

Creator/Executive Producer Robert Mark Kamen (Karate Kid movies) wrote the episode directed by James Marshall.

Trip (Corey Sevier) will be killed by his convicted father's former associates unless he can collect money from a criminal located in a dangerous part of town. Meanwhile, Tom (Russell Wong) is battling his way to his daughter's heart (Valerie Tian) through the court system. Allie (Sarah Carter) is hesitant to try out for the high school dance team, but Bryan's (Ray J) encouragement helps build her confidence.

Missy Peregrym also stars Carlton Cuse and Janet Tamaro wrote the episode directed by Harry Winer.

Tom (Russell Wong) faces his biggest challenge yet after new student Nick (Drew Fuller) sweeps into town and immediately drags Bryan (Ray J) into a "fight club" scheme that lands them both in more trouble than they can handle. As if that wasn't enough, while Tom is out shopping for a birthday present for his daughter (guest star Valerie Tian) he meets an interesting new woman who has a startling connection to one of his students. Tom (Russell Wong) is left with nowhere to live after Master Li's (Mako) errant son Jing (guest star Ron Yuan) comes home to make amends and takes over the dojo and Tom's classes. Allie (Sarah Carter) and Nick (Drew Fuller) discover Jing has a hidden agenda forcing Tom to decide whether to tell Master Li the truth or honor the tradition and remain silent. Meanwhile, Trip (Corey Sevier) asks Tory (Missy Peregrym) for a date.

Ray J also stars. Greg Yaitanes directed the episode written by Edward Kitsis & Adam Horowitz.\


Prime Suspect

After Allie's (Sarah Carter) ex-boyfriend is killed, police accuse Nick (Drew Fuller) of the murder so the gang sets out to prove his innocence, with the exception of Trip (Corey Sevier) who isn't so sure Nick's bad-boy ways are completely behind him. Meanwhile, Claire (guest star Valerie Tian) is caught shoplifting and calls Tom (Russell Wong) instead of her mother.

Missy Peregrym and Ray J also star. Jeff Woolnough directed the episode written by Carlton Cuse & Jed Seidel.
