What They Say:

Set 400 years in the future, in the wake of a universal civil war, FIREFLY centers on the crew of Serenity, a small transport spaceship.  The crew members will take any job -- legal or not -- to stay afloat and put bread on their table.  Thrust together by necessity, these disparate men and women are cowboys of the future.  They're seeking adventure and the good life, but facing constant challenges on the new frontier, which test and reveal their true identities.

Using the galaxy as a backdrop to tell very human stories, FIREFLY is about the charactersí unpredictable lives and relationships, as well as their search for meaning in a very uncertain time.

What I Say:

Well, once I got over the fact that Sydney Bristow's evil counterpart Anna Espinosa {Gina Torres}  is now married to Heath Ledger's (aka William, er... Sir Ulrich von Lichtenstein) buddy Wat {Alan Tudyk} I got into this show big time.

I am hopeful that this wagon train on the stars will offer the best of science fiction and good old fashioned cowboy adventures.  There were gunfights a plenty -- and all in all well done, a great heist on a train, and a real understanding of how tough life was in the old west -- all wrapped up in a nice scifi package with some very nice effects.
