ABC BRINGS BACK A SLICE OF AMERICAN POP CULTURE WHEN "ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT PRESENTS: LAVERNE & SHIRLEY TOGETHER AGAIN" AIRS MAY 7 ON THE ABC TELEVISION NETWORK

"We're Gonna Make Our Dreams Come True" When the Original Cast of ABC's Beloved Comedy Series "Laverne & Shirley" Reunites

"On your mark, get set and go now," as ABC returns to its nostalgic heyday with "Entertainment Tonight Presents: Laverne & Shirley Together Again," a one-hour comedy special reuniting for the first time in almost two decades actor/director Penny Marshall and actor Cindy Williams with other beloved cast members from the classic hit series "Laverne & Shirley." The program will air TUESDAY, MAY 7 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

The retrospective special will include hilarious clips from the series with candid conversations and anecdotes from stars Penny Marshall (Laverne DeFazio) and Cindy Williams (Shirley Feeney), along with fellow cast members Michael McKean (Leonard 'Lenny' Kosnowski), David Lander (Andrew 'Squiggy' Squiggman), Eddie Mekka (Carmine Ragusa, 'The Big Ragoo') and Betty Garrett (Edna Babish-De Fazio). They will also reminisce over little-known facts and share their fondest memories with some of their favorite television stars, as never-before-seen outtakes and other surprises are shown.

The original "Laverne & Shirley" (1976-1983) was a spin-off from the classic comedy series "Happy Days" in which the two title characters made their debut as Fonzie's promiscuous friends. Set in Milwaukee in the 1950's, the beloved show portrayed Laverne and Shirley as two very opposite roommates facing the typical problems of single girls working in a brewery. In the 1980 season, the show took a fresh turn when the cast moved from Milwaukee to Los Angeles, where the entire gang attempted to break into show business. The highly-rated series aired until 1983.

Linda Bell Blue is executive producer, with Miguel Enciso directing. Ronny Marshall Hallin and Chris Thompson are supervising producers. Janet Annino and Lu Murray, Elise Bakus, Steve Tseckares are producers.
