Andromeda
Lexa Doig portrays the role of the Andromeda
Ascendant, the starship’s sophisticated artificial intelligence system in “Gene
Roddenberry’s Andromeda,” the weekly science fiction action drama from
Tribune Entertainment that first aired in national syndication in 2000.
An accomplished actress, Doig has built an extensive
resume that includes numerous appearances on feature film, television and stage.
Prior to joining “Gene Roddenberry’s Andromeda,” Doig starred
in a number of projects for both the small and big screen including “Jason
X”/New Line Cinema/Crystal Lake Entertainment, “Code Name
Phoenix”/Paramount, “Tekwar”/Universal/Atlantis and “No Alibi”/HBO
Pictures. Doig also appeared in “CIS: The New Professional”/Sky One
Television and “Traders”/ Alliance Atlantis. In addition, she was featured
as a guest star in various popular television series including “Gene
Roddenberry’s Earth: Final Conflict”/Alliance Atlantis/Tribune Entertainment
and “FX: The Series”/Rysher/Fireworks.
Doig’s theater credits include “Romeo and Juliet” and “Arsenic and Old Lace.”
