Trance is a little bit mystery, and a lot bit fun! Who knows why she can tell you the odds of if you'll live or die before the episode is over -- most of the fans can do that too just from having read what's available on the web, seen the commercial that airs at the half hour mark for next weeks episode -- and from noting that their names are still in the opening credits.
Trance
is a beautiful charming clever cat with a great smile and a wonderfully fun
nature. Trance is the character who seems to have a knack for healing
folks, most of the time, and when she's clueless her truly apologetic nature
makes you wonder how anyone other than Tyr could dislike her.
I'm sure someday, just as Farscape brought in Chiana's mother,
more of Trance's off ship life will be explored... her life before the great
dream... but I'm hoping that doesn't happen for many years. The force was
a great thing until I found it out was a blood dealy that you were born
with. I wanted to have the force in me, but none of my doctors have ever
found it when drawing blood!

Trance is a wonderful asset to the crew of Andromeda. She
is a natural morale officer and yet doesn't feel the need to go around
proclaiming that she's going to make people happy. She's a good listener
with a good heart -- and every
great
dream needs that.
Now that the renewed commonwealth is a necessity as well as a dream? A natural born diplomat isn't a bad thing to have on board either.
As for why her skin has gotten purpler as time goes by -- I chalk that up to not enough natural sunlight on any given planet. My hair darkens if I stay indoors too much, and it would appear Trance's skin brightens. And her hair dulls from that wonderfully neon orange and yellow to a nice natural blonde. (Note to any Andromeda Make-up people who might read this, I am NOT complaining! I think Trance's look as is stands at the beginning of season 2 is spectacular! The actress brings to the role all the vibrance it needs! Let her do her thing and just make her look naturally -- and purpley great, and this particular critic will sing your praises until the Commonwealth stands strong once more!)
Trance is a breathe of fresh air in a place where opening the windows is rarely if ever well advised!
