NBC will premiere its new schedule of programs for the 2002-03 season 
beginning September 23 through October 4.

Premiere week kicks off with a special 90-minute celebrity version of “Fear Factor” Monday, Sept. 23 (8-9:30 p.m. ET), spotlighting Natasha Henstridge ( “She Spies”), comedic illusionists Penn & Teller, Keshia Knight Pulliam (“The Cosby Show”), Matt Cedeńo (NBC’s “Days of Our Lives”), Gena Lee Nolin (“Baywatch”) and Barry Williams (“The Brady Bunch”), followed by a 90-minute season premiere of the hit drama “Crossing Jordan” – which finds Jordan (Jill Hennessy) tracking her mother’s killer in Los Angeles.

On Tuesday, Sept. 24, NBC celebrates the series premiere of the new comedy “In-Laws” (8-8:30 p.m. ET), followed by a second episode at a special time 8:30-9 p.m. (ET). (NBC’s veteran “Must See TV” favorite “Just Shoot Me” will move into its new timeslot the following Tuesday, Oct. 1 (8:30-9 p.m. ET). Then it’s the season’s first new episode of the Emmy Award-winning “Frasier” at 9-9:30 p.m. (ET) featuring Niles and Daphne’s wedding, followed by the series debut of the adventurous new comedy “Hidden Hills” (9:30-10 p.m. ET). “Dateline NBC” premieres at 10-11 p.m.(ET).

Two of NBC’s critically acclaimed, Wednesday-night dramas will debut on September 25 with the third-season return of “Ed” (8-9 p.m. ET) and a two-hour premiere of “The West Wing” (9-11 p.m. ET), which was nominated last week for 22 Emmy Awards. NBC’s classic “Law & Order” will launch the following week (Wednesday, Oct. 2, 10-11 p.m. ET).

America’s favorite night of television kicks off with the ninth-season premiere of “Friends” on Thursday, Sept. 26 (8-8:30 p.m. ET) as the top-rated comedy continues the laughs after the birth of Rachel’s (Jennifer Aniston) baby. TV’s favorite freshman comedy series, “Scrubs” (8:30-9 p.m. ET), begins its sophomore season on “Must-See” Thursdays. Emmy winner “Will & Grace” (9-9:30 p.m. ET) is followed by the series premiere of the new comedy “Good Morning Miami” (9:30-10 p.m. ET) and “ER’s” (10-11 p.m. ET) dramatic ninth-season premiere episode.

“Dateline NBC” telecasts a two-hour installment on Sept. 27 (8-10 p.m. ET) with the Friday-night season opener of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” at 10-11 p.m. (ET).

“Kiss the Girls” is the premiere theatrical event of this season’s “Saturday Night Movie” presentation on Sept. 28 (8:30-11 p.m. ET).

“Dateline NBC” (7-8 p.m. ET) kicks off premiere night Sunday, Sept. 29 and the evocative new drama “American Dreams” premieres at 8-9 p.m. (ET). “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” (9-10 p.m. ET) returns for its second season, followed by the series premiere of the innovative urban cop drama “Boomtown” (10-11 p.m. ET) -- from the writer of “Speed” and the director of “Uprising.”

“Third Watch” – recent winner of the prestigious George Foster Peabody Award – makes its fourth-season premiere in the second week of the season, Monday, Sept. 30 (9-10 p.m. ET) and “Providence” returns Friday, October 4 (8-9 p.m. ET).
