In the first episode, titled “My Way Or The Highway, ” Foley plays Sean Kelly, a hospital patient who develops a crush on his doctor, Elliot. Fortunately, his fumbling, insecurity & bad timing make him a perfect match for her. Meanwhile, J.D. (Zach Braff) gets a lesson in competitiveness when he asks for Turk's (Donald Faison) support in persuading his patient to opt for medical over surgical treatment, & Dr. Kelso (Ken Jenkins) finds Dr. Cox's (John C. McGinley) Achilles heel when he fires the nurse who makes Cox's favorite cup of coffee.

In Foley’s second episode, “My Sacrificial Clam,” the new couple (Sean & Elliot) hit a road block when her dedication to work & its long hours begin to make her question whether she has time for a relationship. Meanwhile, J.D. & Elliot are forced to deal with four doctors (guest stars Ed Begley, Jr., William Daniels, Stephen Furst & Eric Laneuville of “St. Elsewhere”) who become ill while attending a local medical convention; & J.D. worries about getting Hepatitis after accidentally getting stuck with a needle that may have been infected.

Foley is best known for playing Noel, an aspiring graphic designer, on “Felicity” for the past four seasons. Currently in production as the star of NBC’s comedy pilot “A.U.S.A.,” Foley can soon be seen in the upcoming feature film, “Below” & in the independent film, “Rennie’s Landing.” He made his film debut in Wes Craven’s “Scream 3.”

One of the highest-rated new comedy series for the 2001-02 season, “Scrubs” focuses on the bizarre experiences of fresh-faced medical intern John “J.D.” Dorian as he embarks on his career in a surreal hospital crammed full of unpredictable staffers & patients - where humor & tragedy can merge paths at any time. Donald Faison, Sarah Chalke, Ken Jenkins, John C. McGinley & Judy Reyes also star in the series, produced by Touchstone Television. Bill Lawrence is the executive producer & creator.
