The Lone Ranger is back on Television...

Set in the 19th century, the saga of the classic Western hero begins with the introduction of Luke Hartman (Chad Michael Murray), a 20-year old Boston law student whose life is turned upside down when he is wounded in an ambush after witnessing the murder of his brother, a Texas Ranger. Rescued by an Apache named Tonto (Nathaniel Arcand, "American Outlaws"), Luke is instantly captivated by Tonto's beautiful sister Alope (newcomer Anita Brown). Luke assumes the guise of a mysterious masked champion to avenge his brother's death and fight the scourge of injustice.

Check out the trailer for the Lone Ranger movie over on the WB -- if the movie lives up to the trailer Wednesday night could be GREAT on the WB this week!

TO BE BROADCAST APRIL 13 ON CBS

Stephen Lang ("Gods and Generals") and Nanci Chambers ("JAG") Also Star

David James Elliott ("JAG") and Terry Farrell ("Becker") star in CODE 11-14, a suspenseful new television movie to be broadcast as the "CBS Sunday Movie," Sunday, April 13 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. The thriller follows an FBI agent whose search for a serial killer intensifies when he finds himself and his family trapped on board an international flight with the murderer.

Stephen Lang ("The Fugitive," "Gods and Generals") and Nanci Chambers ("JAG") also star.

Kurt Novack (Elliott) is a skilled FBI agent whose work continually takes him away from his wife, Michelle (Farrell), and their young son, Johnny. Kurt's latest case involves a serial killer who photographs his victims before killing them, then leaves the pictures beside their dead bodies. Thinking they have found a suspect in Australia, the FBI sends Kurt to witness the cross-examination while special agent Andrea Bowman (Chambers) helps out on the home front.

Rather than leave his family, Kurt takes Michelle and Johnny along for the trip. While there, Australian police find the man they believe to be the killer. Although Kurt remains unconvinced, he agrees to return to Los Angeles. When he and his family arrive at the airport to board their trans-Pacific flight home, they are surprised to learn that they have been bumped to another flight without their knowledge.
Flight attendant Justin Shaw (Lang) greets them, and the flight starts off pleasantly until Kurt returns from a short walk to find Michelle beaming after opening a gift box revealing a beautiful pair of earrings. Having thought the earrings were from her husband, she is shocked to learn that not only are they from a stranger, but they were taken off the body of the murderer's latest victim. The flight heats up even more when Kurt's phone rings and it is the killer on the line. Before long, one of the passengers is dead and Kurt realizes his own wife and son are the next targets.

David James Elliott is best known for his role as Commander Harmon "Harm" Rabb in the hit Network series, "JAG." His first television series was "Street Legal" on the CBC. Elliott, who played Terry Parson in "Melrose Place," credits his one-time appearance as Carl the moving guy on "Seinfeld" with opening more doors than all his other experience combined. His other television credits include "Doogie Howser, M.D.," "China Beach," "The Hitchhiker," "Dark Justice," "The Untouchables" and, on the Network, "Knots Landing." His feature film credits include "Clockwatchers" and "The Shrink is In."

Terry Farrell is probably best known for her role as Reggie in the Network series, "Becker." Prior to that, she was known as science officer Lt. Commander Jadzia Dax in "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine." Farrell worked for several years as an Elite model while studying acting. After landing her first role in the television series, "Paper Dolls," she moved to Los Angeles to study at the Stella Adler Conservatory. Her additional television credits include guest-starring roles in the series "The Twilight Zone," "Quantum Leap," "The Cosby Show" and "Family Ties." She also appeared in the television movies "L.A. Madame" and "Reasons of the Heart" and the mini-series "Danielle Steel’s ‘Star.’" Her feature film credits include "Back to School" and "Hellraiser III."

Crossing Jordan
For a minute there I thought NBC's Crossing Jordan was crossing over with a show from another network, but alas, this weeks episode titled John Doe has nothing to do with a man who knows everything but who he is:

BUG UNCHARACTERISTICALLY LOSES CONTROL SEARCHING FOR AN IDENTITY FOR 'JOHN DOE' -- The investigation into the brutal death of an unidentified vagrant labeled "John Doe" hits home for Bug (Ravi Kapoor), who sets out on an unorthodox, Jordan-esque mission to uncover the man's identity and find his murderer. Despite Jordan's (Jill Hennessy) advice to let the police handle the case, a relentless Bug uses his forensic skills to track the "John Doe's" final steps and uncovers more than he bargained for. Meanwhile, Garret (Miguel Ferrer) investigates the shooting death of a Boston detective allegedly testifying against his fellow officers, which the DA (guest star Susan Gibney) wants to label a suicide.

Boomtown may have given Kingpin a chance to borrow it's time slot, but NBC doesn't want viewers forgetting this great show...

NBC’s critically acclaimed “Boomtown” (Sundays, 10-11 p.m. ET) will return with a bang to the network’s primetime schedule on March 2 following a “Boomtown” bonanza of 12 consecutive episodes to be broadcast on Bravo the same day (March 2) for 12 hours beginning at 10 a.m. and concluding at 10 p.m. The announcement was made by Jeff Zucker, President, NBC Entertainment.

“This effort gives us a great platform to re-launch ‘Boomtown’ when it returns from a brief respite,” said Zucker. “It also affords viewers a change to catch up with the plotlines and appreciate its unique storytelling style over a condensed period of time.”

“’Boomtown’ is a drama of the highest quality that speaks to the smart upscale audience of both Bravo and NBC,” said Jeff Gaspin, Executive Vice President, Alternative Series, Longform and Program Strategy, NBC Entertainment. “This match offers the perfect promotional opportunity.”

The Other Half

The first-annual “Mr. Other Half Pageant” debuts nationwide exclusively on THE OTHER HALF Wednesday, February 12 with commentary from Geri Manthey (Survivor, The Surreal Life) and actress/singer Tatyana Ali (The Fresh Prince of Bel Air) (syndicated, check local listings for station and time).

“We’ve decided to give you ladies a full hour of gorgeous, hunky, and at times, barely-clad men,” says Mario Lopez, co-host of THE OTHER HALF.

Each weekday Lopez and his co-hosts Dick Clark, Danny Bonaduce and Dorian Gregory open the doors into the male psyche to offer four honest perspectives about what men really think.

Judged by the studio audience of over 100 women, ten men will compete in talent, personality, formalwear and swimsuit competitions for a chance to win the coveted “Mr. Other Half” title as well as a walk-on role on the hit NBC drama AMERICAN DREAMS.

Three finalists will be selected, with the wining title going to the man who best answers the question: If you wake up tomorrow and discover you have turned into a woman, what woman would you want to be, and why?

“Ladies, it’s sure to be one of the most spectacular, one of the most amazing, and one of the most pleasurable events of your lives!” promises Bonaduce.

Looking Beyond February Sweeps...

Original series stars Frank Gorshin (The Riddler), Lee Meriwether (Cat Woman) and Julie Newmar (Cat Woman) make special appearances.

While trying to unravel the details and find the Batmobile, West and Ward flashback to the tumultuous times of their 60s television series to reveal a bizarre behind-the-scenes story of the creation of a television classic, from their on-the-set explosions to their wild real-life encounters with fans.

Are You Hot, the Search for America's Sexiest People.

Normally I'd ignore a show like this out of hand. There just isn't much in the premise of this show that screams out to me that I have to watch it -- but Lorenzo Lamas has been gracing TV Screens in this country for the better part of 20 years. His son AJ has grown into a talent worth watching, appearing with Edward James Olmos on PBS' American Family.

I have to admit, I'm inclined to think Lorenzo could be a fun judge to watch on this show. (His fellow judges, per the ABC website, are Rachel Hunter and Randolph Duke.

So here's the official line from ABC:

From coast to coast, thousands of hopefuls gathered in recent weeks to get the chance to compete for the crown of the sexiest man or woman in America. Talent, personality and strategy were not required, just physical beauty and innate sexiness. Now TV viewers get their chance to vote on the regional finalists as they face a celebrity panel of experts, including Rachel Hunter, Randolph Duke and Lorenzo Lamas.

(Are You Hot is the first item to make it onto Lorenzo Lamas' new official website! Check it out here!)

Passions celebrates Black History Month!

To commemorate Black History Month, the six African-American contract players on the popular NBC daytime soap opera “Passions” have joined together to record public service announcements that celebrate the achievement of African-Americans. The six 15-second spots are being made available exclusively to all NBC affiliates.

The spots feature all the actors that are involved with the core Russell family -- a middle class African-American household. The actors, appearing as themselves, are Rodney Van Johnson (TC Russell); Tracey Ross (Eve Russell); Amelia Marshall (Liz Sanborn); Brook Kerr (Whitney Russell); Chyrstee Pharris (Simone Russell); and Charles Divins (Chad Harris).

In the spots, the actors salute African-Americans that have risen to prominence by following their dreams. The subjects of the spots are Sidney Poitier, Marian Anderson, Alex Haley, Thurgood Marshall, Condoleezza Rice and Bill Cosby.

The spots carry the theme “Achieve Your Passions” and are intended to run on NBC stations throughout February.

“The PSA campaign is another example of Passions’ commitment to diversity and inclusion. I'm very proud of our actors and our record of color-blind story telling,” said Sheraton Kalouria, SVP, Daytime Programs, NBC Entertainment.
