James Garner and Suzanne Pleshette Guest Star as Cate's Parents in the One-Hour Episode

"Goodbye" - After learning of the unexpected death of Paul, Cate and the kids must each deal with the loss of the beloved patriarch of the Hennessy family in their own way. To help console the family, Cate's parents - who are separated -- put aside their marital differences and help the family through their time of need. James Garner and Suzanne Pleshette guest star as Cate's parents, on a special one-hour episode of "8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter," TUESDAY, NOV. 4 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

"8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter" stars Katey Sagal as Cate Hennessy, Kaley Cuoco as Bridget Hennessy, Amy Davidson as Kerry Hennessy and Martin Spanjers as Rory Hennessy.



 

Who is stealing the show?

David Conrad joins the cast of NBC’s new drama series “Miss Match” as Michael Mendelsohn, an architect who is recruited by Kate (Alicia Silverstone), as a potential match for one of her clients, whom she takes a particular interest in.

A graduate of the highly esteemed Juilliard School of the Arts, Conrad landed his first professional roles in New York’s independent film world. He also was active on stage, appearing in “Troilus & Cressida” at the American Place Theatre in New York, “The Deep Blue Sea” by Terrance Rattigan at the Roundabout theater and the American premiere of “Indian Ink” by Tom Stoppard at ACT.

Since then, Conrad has enjoyed success in both the feature and television worlds. On the big screen, he earned roles in “Men of Honor” opposite Robert De Niro and Cuba Gooding Jr., “The Weekend” and “Return to Paradise” starring Vince Vaughn and Joquin Phoenix. His television career began in earnest as the lead of “Relativity” opposite Kimberly Williams. Subsequently, he gained lead roles in “A Season for Miracles,” “Time Tunnel,” and recurring roles on “Roswell” and the critically acclaimed series “Boston Public.”

"Patriot Acts" - Kilmer and his team search for a domestic terrorist bomber who is targeting several large universities. But when Mo's lifelong friend, Amir, is named as a suspect and his career is placed in jeopardy, Mo is forced to question his own choices, as well as the viability of the Patriot Act, on "Threat Matrix," THURSDAY, OCTOBER 16 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

"Prodigy" -- Malone and the team search for a brilliant but complicated 14-year old Russian violinist when she disappears after a rehearsal for an important concert appearance.

After Natasha Tzetcovich goes missing, the team discovers that she was having panic attacks from the pressure she felt from her immigrant parents to perform. They also learn that she was involved with the son of her manager, a troubled boy who was supplying her with drugs, who also disappeared at the same time as Natasha. Another suspect is a strange man that her parents may have known from the old country who has been stalking the girl and sending e-mails from every city in which she has played in the last year.

Convinced he's found his new soul mate, Tarquin has no intention of letting Hoshi leave and threatens to destroy Enterprise when they return to collect their linguist.

Then on Jake 2.0:

Despite concern that he’s a walking target with the millions of dollars of nanites in his body, Jake convinces his superiors that he’s entitled to a "life" and attends his best friend’s wedding, but the NSA’s worst fears might be realized when Jake suspects an assassin has infiltrated the wedding party and is stalking him.

And after Jake 2.0 airs in the Eastern and Central time zones, hop back online and join the UPN chat with star Christopher Gorham.

Navy *NCIS on CBS: When a seaman’s body is discovered under strange circumstances, Gibbs and his team are dispatched to a destroyer to investigate. The intense investigation proves there was no foul play, but there is conclusive evidence that the sailor was deeply involved in an addictive Wizards and Warriors role-playing game. Now, Gibbs and DiNozzo must find out just how addicted the sailor was and what lengths he went to in order to exact his revenge on his archrival--another sailor on board the destroyer.

The Guardian on CBS: A caucasian couple hires the Fallins to sue their fertility clinic when their child is born African-American. Meanwhile, Burton, who is trying to adjust to living with Shannon, feels that the young girl lacks a female presence in her life and decides to hire a nanny to look after her.

One Tree Hill on the WB: Haley (Bethany Joy Lenz) convinces Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) to go with the team to an after-party at Nathan's (James Lafferty) beach house in the hopes that the guys will become closer. When Lucas sees the wealth that was denied him, he finally confronts his mother, Karen (Moira Kelly), about why she let Dan (Paul Johansson) ignore them. Meanwhile, when Nathan's mom (guest star, Barbara Alyn Woods) returns home to find a very angry son, she turns to Karen for advice.

Judging Amy on CBS: Amy’s courtroom turns into a media circus when she oversees the trial of a celebrity athlete accused of raping a young woman. Meanwhile, Maxine steps in when a mother tries to protect her children from biohazards to the point of parental abuse, and Kyle attempts to convince the grandmother of a brain-dead child to donate his organs to a young girl in need of a transplant.

When Andy (Treat Williams) invites Linda Abbott (Marcia Cross) over for dinner to discuss a patient, Delia (Vivien Cardone) lashes out through foul language, but it is an enlightened Ephram who figures out the cause of his sister's bad behavior, thanks to insight provided by Madison (Sarah Lancaster). Amy's (Emily Van Camp) depression deepens, but when her therapist recommends medication, Dr. Abbott (Tom Amandes) refuses to write a prescription to help his daughter cope with Colin's death.

Tonight on The Lyon's Den -- THINGS SHE SAID

JACK IS ON TRACK TO DEFEND AN AMBITIOUS FEMALE FASHION EXEC ACCUSED OF SEXUAL HARASSMENT -- Jack (Rob Lowe) and Ariel (Elizabeth Mitchell) go to New York to represent a famous, ambitious and sexually ambiguous fashion executive (guest star Brenda Strong) who is accused of sexual harassment by a former worker -- but Jack is pressured by the clothing firm's board to arrange for a settlement. Back in Washington, D.C., Grant (Kyle Chandler) grows jealous of Ariel teaming with Jack while she ponders the threat of their past intimate e-mails being retrieved and exposed. Elsewhere, Riley (Matt Craven) feels responsible when he blows off a desperate former classmate whose descent into substance abuse was triggered by an experimental drug. James Pickens Jr., Frances Fisher and David Krumholtz also star.
