Passions is a wonderful place for the connection between Telemundo and NBC to show up
, as one of their major families, the Lopez-Fitzgeralds, is quite proud of their hispanic heritage.

And this family is tied into every part of harmony, from police officer Luis' friendship with his boss, the chief of police Sam Bennett, to little brother Miguel's friendship with the the chief's daugther Kay -- a young lady who yearns to be more than just friends, to Teresa's friendship with Whitney Russell, daughter of town doctor Eve Russell and local high school coach TC Russell, and Teresa's on-again off-again romance with Ethan Crane... er... Winthrop, son of the ever hated Julian Crane, and the ever untrusted Ivy Winthrop Crane, who lied to the world about her love child Ethan, passing him off as Julian's son when in reality he is the son of Sam Bennett. Which takes us full circle in one quick little Lopez-Fitzgerald loop.

Nov 24th is the night to tune into CBS and see this wonderful piece that treats two very real men as two very real characters. In the words of Jerry Lewis "Jeremy Northam brought my old partner back to life. All his mannerisms, Everything... he was back." Now if that isn't high praise I don't know what is.

From Sci-Fi Channel -- the good word on Stargate SG-1's 7th Season.

Shanks Returns To Stargate SG-1

The SCI FI Channel confirmed that Michael Shanks will return as a regular cast member of the channel's original series Stargate SG-1, again playing the role of Dr. Daniel Jackson, in the show's upcoming seventh season. The network earlier this week announced that it had renewed the show for a full 22-episode new season.

Shanks left the series at the end of season five, and his character gave up human life and ascended to a higher plane of existence. Shanks has made one guest appearance during the sixth season and, as previously reported on SCI FI Wire, will also return in the season finale.

The channel has announced that Richard Dean Anderson also returns as the star and one of the executive producers. So far, the network has confirmed only that Shanks and Anderson are returning.

Production on the new season is slated to begin in Vancouver, B.C., early next year, for a summer 2003 launch. The remaining original sixth-season episodes will resume on SCI FI in January 2003.

"Sex And The City" Star David Eigenberg Guest Stars

"Flash Photography" – As a joke, at a wedding for their friends Samantha and Jake (guest star David Eigenberg of "Sex and the City"), Doug disastrously takes an uninhibited self-portrait with a disposable camera, on THE KING OF QUEENS Monday, Nov. 11 (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Henry Chan directed the episode written by David Bickel.

What was supposed to be innocent fun turns ugly the following day when the newlyweds look at their wedding photos from the night before and find one of someone's private parts. It looks like Sunday night is the most competetive night of the season.

With CBS's airing some phenomenal movies after a comedy block that includes Becker, ABC's Alias (with an positively amazing cast) and the Practice (with stories that keep this reviewer coming back week after week) all up against NBC's drama block that starts with American Dreams -- in which Americans relive the dreams of a decade gone by, and a new generation learns about a generations not yet gone by, followed by Law & Order: Criminal Intent, where the criminals don't get away, and ending with Boomtown where everyone's got a point of view!

1,000 teenagers surveyed by ElectricArtists, an online marketing firm, about which new television shows they were most excited about this fall topped the list with "American Dreams" and ABC's comedy, "8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter."

NBC will bolster its commitment to its new hit drama “American Dreams” (Sundays, 8-9 p.m. ET) by adding three additional episodes to its previous season-long order for a total of 25, it was announced today by Jeff Zucker, President, NBC Entertainment.

“‘American Dreams’ has enhanced NBC’s audience profile early on Sunday nights and we expect that growth and new-found popularity to increase,” said Zucker. “This drama’s got an appealing cast and passionate creative team that has American viewers wanting more - and we intend to give it to them.”

The nostalgic drama was renewed for an entire season’s worth of episodes earlier this fall.

CBS Movie Master Spy, Nov 10 and 17!

Academy Award-winning actor William Hurt (“Kiss of the Spider Woman”) plays the lead role in MASTER SPY: THE ROBERT HANSSEN STORY, a new four-hour, special event mini-series to be broadcast Sunday, Nov. 10 and Sunday, Nov. 17 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT; each night) on the CBS Television Network. This drama is based on the shocking true story of FBI Special Agent Robert P. Hanssen (Hurt), the recently-convicted master spy who single-handedly created the greatest breach of security in the history of the United States.

Tony Award-winner Mary-Louise Parker, Emmy Award-winner Peter Boyle, Tony Award-winner Ron Silver, Wayne Knight and David Strathairn also star in this drama which filmed in Moscow, Hong Kong, Hawaii, Toronto and Washington, D.C.

Robert “Bob” Hanssen was a loving husband, a devoted father of six, a deeply devout Catholic, a passionate anti-communist, a dedicated FBI agent and, for 22 years, a spy the likes of which the United States has never before seen. The mini-series will delve into the mind of a complex, devious and brilliant man who was, in May 2002, convicted of spying for the Soviet Union – and, later, Russia. It will create an unforgettable portrait of someone so caught up in the struggle with his own demons that he would betray everything he held sacred – his wife, his family, his religion and his country.

In 1968, while still in dental school, Bob Hanssen marries the woman of his dreams – the beautiful and adoring Bernadette “Bonnie” Wauck (Parker), who, like her close-knit family, is a devout, conservative Catholic. While vowing his intense desire to convert to Catholicism, Bob soon reveals other more off-color desires, including photographing his reluctant wife in the nude – and secretly forwarding these shots to his shocked, though intrigued, married friend, Jack Hoschouer (Strathairn), whom he continues to titillate through the years with more voyeuristic opportunities involving Bonnie.

With one semester to go before earning his dental degree, Bob decides to quit and become a police officer. His tough policeman father, Howard (Boyle), is quick to voice his disapproval and disappointment, which is no surprise to Bob – as Howard has long enjoyed ridiculing him. After the birth of their first child, Bob leaves the police force for what he expects will be an exciting and successful career at the FBI. But several years into the job, a demoralized Bob finds himself unable to support his growing family with his fairly modest income, causing him to become reliant on the handouts of his mocking father.

No longer able to tolerate how Howard crudely diminishes Bob in front of their children, Bonnie insists that Bob sever his financial and personal ties with his father. Not long after, in 1979, Bonnie is horrified to discover that Bob has sold information to the Soviet Union. He promises to stop – and, per her urging, he confesses his actions to their local priest. But, the excitement of the covert activity – and its financial rewards – ends up being too enticing for him.

As his position in the FBI's counterintelligence division advances through the years, Bob is given access to the sort of top-secret U.S. government information that will – and does – command a great deal of money from the KGB – and its successor. Even as the FBI begins to suspect that they are harboring a mole, Bob outwardly appears to be one of the most diligent and dedicated FBI analysts to everyone, including his boss, Mike Fine (Silver), the head of the division, and his fellow analyst Walter Ballou (Knight). And, at home, Bob spends many family moments moralizing to his beloved, ever-impressed Bonnie and their six children about the evils of communism – and the necessity of doing God's work on earth. Little do they know that he is, in fact, “Ramon,” a long-term valuable mole for the Soviet Union and, later, Russia.
